SWAN 47 « NORDLYS »
Nordlys (Northern Light in Norwegian) is a swan 47 that combines the legendary Sparkman and Stephens lines with the amazing quality of Nautor Swan. She is probably one of the best of all Swan models, powerful but sea kindly, with sweet hull lines and a beautiful all teak varnished inside.
Nordlys offers 9 berths and all the creature comforts and navigation equipment you could expect from a yacht with that pedigree : hot air heater, watermaker, radar, 220 V, satellite phone, SSB, DSC VHF, plotter with AIS, halogen lighting...
The master aft cabin has a double and single berth and benefits from its separate companion way and separate heads with pressurized hot shower.
We use Nordlys to cover both the inshore and offshore parts of the Yachtmaster syllabus: pilotage, blind navigation, dead reckoning, radar, chart work, weather, night navigation, crew management...
We limit the number of our students to 4 on Nordlys, which is quite exceptional on a yacht of that size, offering outstanding comfort on board as well as a great teaching environment.
